Why We Do It
People

Victoria Feige
Growing up in Vancouver, Victoria made the most of the outdoor sports that the West Coast has to offer, including snowboarding and surfing. At the age of 18, Victoria sustained a low spinal cord injury from a snowboarding accident, leaving her partially paralyzed from the waist down and a wheelchair user. Victoria has returned to surfing post-injury and, through plenty of training, problem-solving, and trial and error, now holds a world record with 4 consecutive ISA Para Surf World Titles! We love supporting Victoria by keeping her fueled with Terra Breads Granola so that she has the energy and nutrition she needs to perform at her very best. Victoria hopes her story encourages other people with injuries to adapt and keep surfing.

Terra Breads 30th Anniversary
May of 2023 marks Terra Breads’ 30th Anniversary and we know we couldn’t have done it without all the incredible people who have been with us along the way. To celebrate these people we put the spotlight on them for the month! Read about a few of our team members below and check out our Instagram page @TerraBreads to meet even more of the team!

Breakfast Club of Canada

Community

Vancouver Food Runners
Our partnership with Vancouver Food Runners helps us get our extra bread to the people in our community who need it most! To date, VFR has helped us donate over 88,000 pounds of baked goods (mainly bread), which has gone to 36 of their nonprofit partners. Bonus: this excess food has also been redirected from the landfill, which has an added benefit of helping our planet!

Firetruck Dragon Boat
We’re excited to be sponsoring Firetruck Dragon Boat Team! With our Olympic Village Café just steps from False Creek and the team being coached by one of our very own Terra Breads Team Members, this sponsorship just made sense. We love supporting them during their race season, cheer them on from the sidelines, and fuel them up on Terra Breads Pure Crunch Granola!

Donations
We support charitable organizations and social initiatives actively working with people in need of food, youth education, and sustainability in food and agriculture. Organizations include First United Church, Jewish Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, and Lotus Light Charity, among others. We ensure that any unsold goods leftover at the end of the day are donated to local charities. Additionally, Vancouver Food Runners helps us connect surplus food with numerous other nonprofits.

This steel insulated mug keeps beverages hot or cold for up to 12 hours. It’s made from stainless steel and is 100% recyclable.

Too Good To Go
Our partnership with Too Good To Go is helping us feed more people with the food we’re already making; it’s good for people, good for our communities and great for our planet. Through the Too Good To Go app you can save leftover food from going to waste by picking up a surprise bag full of baked goodies or café foods for a great price at your local Terra Breads location.
